Cre8audio East Beast Buyer Guide

Learn filter-based synthesis, with a stock wait.

East Beast combines an analog oscillator, multimode filter, sequencer and patching in a complete desktop voice. The maker was sold out on 2026-10-18; authorized dealer Sweetwater showed backorder with a November estimate, not a delivery guarantee.

What you will work with.

• One analog oscillator, multimode filter and 18 patch points; 32-step sequencer.
• MIDI in/thru, CV patching; removable 40HP Eurorack voice.
• Included wall supply; no internal battery specified.

Choose the workflow before the specification.

• Choose it when learning oscillator-to-filter synthesis and later moving the 40HP voice into a rack fit your plans, and you can wait for stock.
• Skip it if a confirmed delivery date is essential or if you want wavefolding and dynamics shaping to lead the sound; West Pest takes that other approach.

Check the ownership constraints.

• Maker sold out; authorized dealer Sweetwater shows backorder with a November 2026 estimate on 2026-10-18. Consider it only if you can wait for stock.

Five ways to solve this buying decision.

Five entry paths into patchable synthesis, not five soldering kits. Mavis covers mechanical assembly, East Beast conventional subtractive synthesis, West Pest wavefolding, NiftyBUNDLE true module expansion, volca battery patching. No promise that every selection is immediately in stock.

Comparison facts and their sources.

What independent evidence can tell you.

• Molten Music Technology’s East Beast review finds its oscillator and filter capable of smooth, mellow sounds, with extra possibilities in the digital controls. This is an attributed listening impression of the reviewed hardware.
• East Beast owners on Reddit describe learning synthesis and planning rack expansion around it. That is anecdotal enthusiasm, not a controlled comparison or a guarantee that every beginner will like its interface.
• AMAZONA’s 2022 East Beast test finds more sound potential than the compact panel suggests, but criticizes the secondary button functions and status lights as hard to remember. That makes time with the manual part of the purchase, even though initial sounds come quickly.

Exact-model Amazon identities are retained where verified. Other options link to the manufacturer or named retailer because a reliable exact Amazon product page was not established. Firmware, warranty, condition, seller and current supply still require checking.
